1. Home (dashboard) — what you see

  • TOTAL BALANCE — your overall “money picture.”
  • This month — income and expenses for the current calendar month only.
  • Remaining budget — this month’s income minus this month’s expenses (from transactions, not from funds).
  • Funds (if you add any) — extra money you track (e.g. savings, another card). Shown under the balance when you have funds.

2. What “Total balance” includes (simple formula)

Total balance = (all income transactions − all expense transactions) + funds

  • Transactions (income & expense) change the running total over all time.
  • Funds are added on top — they’re for money you want in the total without always logging it as monthly income (e.g. starting balance in another account).

Remember:

  • Remaining budget = only this month’s income vs expenses from transactions.
  • Funds count in total balance but do not change “remaining budget.”

3. Add a transaction (income or expense)

  1. Tap the big + in the middle (bottom bar).
  2. Choose Income or Expense.
  3. Enter amount, pick category, date, optional note.
  4. Save.
  • Income — money in (salary, refund, etc.). Increases balance and this month’s income.
  • Expense — money out. Decreases balance and counts as this month’s spending.
  • If balance or budget rules block an expense, the app will tell you (so you don’t overspend by mistake).

4. Add funds (savings / other accounts)

  1. On Home, tap TOTAL BALANCE (or the edit/add funds entry your app shows).
  2. Add a name, amount, and optional icon.
  3. Save.

You can edit or remove funds later from the same place.
Funds increase total balance; they are not the same as logging an income transaction for this month’s budget.
